21. Pick a Pearl in Japan

The Japan pavilion in Epcot has one of the biggest stores, and in it they have a thing where you can pick your own pearl. They have tanks full of oysters, and you tell them which one you want, and they count to three in Japanese (san, nee, ichee!) and break it open. Then they shine it, measure it, and present it to you, all while speaking loudly and excitedly about what they're doing, getting the crowd all riled up and making it so much fun. Then, you get to choose different settings you can buy, mostly necklaces and rings.

For our 5-month anniversary, Paul wanted to give me one of the pearl necklaces. When I went, I was so happy because the girl who was doing it right before me was training and kind of boring, but right when I went to pick my pearl a really good lady came up. I chose the ugliest oyster, because that's what you're supposed to do, but my pearl was still kind of small. But it was still super exciting and perfect, and I love it so much. I never really wear necklaces, but now I wear this one almost every day.
