One of the most common things on Disney Cast Members' bucket lists is to go to all four parks in one day. So I figured the best day to do that was Leap Day! Because we've been given an extra 24 hours and you have to do something special with it. Last Leap Day I spent a full 24 hours in Disneyland, so I figured this was a good equivalent to the Disneyworld. I went with some new friends from work, who graciously agreed to follow me around all day.
Christina, Tessa, and I started off the day in Animal Kingdom at 9:30am, where we ended up spending way more time than we meant to, considering it's such a small park. We used a few paper fastpasses that were super helpful in getting everything we were planning on done. I also ran into one of my friends at the Finding Nemo musical. Here's what we did:
-Kilimanjaro Safaris
-Met Mickey and Minnie in safari gear
-Expedition Everest
-DINOSAUR
-Flame Tree BBQ for lunch
Next we went to Hollywood Studios, which we had a lot of Fastpasses for since we work there (and can steal them after other people use them muahaha). Here is where we lost Tessa halfway through because she had to go work out (what's that?). We also got evacuated off of the Toy Story ride, which was very exciting since I've never been evacuated off a ride before. That was kind of an unofficial bucket list item, so that was very convenient. I also met Stitch, who only recently started coming out in the parks. He was so cute and we jumped when he saw my "I'm celebrating Leap Day" pin. Since we had so many fastpasses left over for the day, Christina gave them to a worthy looking family on our way out of the park. Here's what we did at this park:
-Tower of Terror
-Rock'n'Rollercoaster
-Star Tours
-Met Stitch
-Toy Story Midway Mania
-Met Sorceror Mickey
We then headed to Epcot, which was one of the easiest parks since there aren't many rides. Christina sometimes picks up shifts at her old location in Epcot, so she had fastpasses for this park as well. The tough part about this park is all the walking, since just the World Showcase is 1.2 miles around. We also went on Mission Space, where Christina works, which was hard for me because it always makes me feel sick. Here's what we did there:
-Met Mickey, Goofy, and Minnie
-Mission Space
-Test Track
-Lotus Blossom Cafe for dinner
-Toy store in Germany for chocolate (necessary)
-Spaceship Earth
Last, we went to Magic Kingdom for the finale of the day. After meeting Mickey for the last time, Lauren joined us for the last hurrah. The Mickey in Town Square talks, which was equal parts weird and cool. He asked us about what pose he should do on his new poster, and we did that with him. It was a lot better than my first experience with him, where he only said, "Hot dog!" over and over. We were able to watch Wishes, which was the perfect way to end the night. We also got stuck on Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, which I think was one of the highlights of the day. The ride stopped and all the lights went out on one of the inclines, and luckily everyone on our train was cool and joked about it. A castmember came and escorted us through backstage (under the mountain) and out to the front, and then we got fastpasses that don't expire for another month (score!). Christina left and Paul joined us for the last ride of the night, Space Mountain, and we left right as the Kiss Goodnight played. Here's what we did for the end of the night:
-Met Mickey at Town Square
-Watched Wishes
-Big Thunder Mountain Railroad
-Space Mountain
We took pictures with each park landmark, and with Mickey at each park as a great way to commemorate the day. For a first time doing all four parks I think it went really well, and I'm really excited to do it again!
